The Classic Car Club of Andalucia Goes from Strength to Strength

In these times of doom and gloom how nice to hear of at least one association that is having lots of fun and can boast incredible, rapid growth! Whilst many other bodies and clubs are suffering and struggling to survive, the Classic Car Club of Andalucia is positively flourishing.

In just over a year the Club has almost 400 members. In that year the club has put on a huge number of social and classic car events, catering for all tastes and interests.

Whereas many clubs have to restrict their calendar and cancel events, the CCC of A is expanding theirs! In November, no fewer than four hugely successful events were run including a three day gourmet classic-car tour centring on the Costa de la Luz, a very special day out at the Ascari racetrack and a trip around the museum at Ronda together with other, regular club events.

In December there are also four events arranged. A dinner at El Chaparral, a very special Christmas Classic Car run which will start from the famous parador in Málaga and feature stops in Benalmadena Pueblo, Fuengirola Castle and Mijas, together with a parade through Puerto Banus and a Christmas lunch at Ogilvy & Mailer in Los Naranjos. There will be the club’s season topping Christmas ball at the Hotel Tamisa Golf and the following day the club joins forces with the town of Casarabonela to celebrate the Fiesta de Los Rondeles by providing a classic car display in the town square. The Ruta Gastronomica will be the focal point of this splendid festival together with the classic car display.

Both January and February are fully booked with four events in each month including a special ‘Curry Sunday Lunch’ and classic car display in Puerto Banus, a Burns Night celebration, two Classic Car Runs and a special Charity fund raising event in February in conjunction with the La Cala Lions.

And if that isn’t enough, in April the clubs is arranging a very special classic car tour to Morrocco!
